Traditionally, Long Term Care has been sold as an individual product to high income families with a need to protect their assets. Generally, this has traditionally made Long Term Care Insurance a cost prohibitive product to “middle income and working class” families. However, given today’s economy, Long Term Care carriers are introducing more affordable products that can be added into the work place as a benefit. This provides the business or company with a product that will help employees protect their retirement plans. This is essential because the risk of needing long term care is approximately 69%. Therefore, employees need thisbenefit to protect their retirement funds and provide them with the opportunity to maintain their independence.
Integrative Benefits provide products that offer three cost planning approaches for employers. First, the business owner can select a voluntary approach, where employees purchase their policies through pay roll deduction. Second, there is an employer paid program where the company absorbs the cost for all employees. Third, there is the executive carve out. This is where the employer can determine a group of employees whose premiums would be partially or fully covered and the remaining employees would purchase their policies on a voluntary basis. Again, the cost plan design is up to you. In addition to these products, Integrative Benefits offers individual and group health, life insurance, college scholarship programs, financial planning services and medicare supplemental insurance for seniors.
